Our meeting with Ms. Grandy was exactly what I needed and where I needed to be.  It was an honor to hear about her mentoring experiences and the joy that she not only receives as well as her mentees.  She was very humble and welcoming.  Ms. Grandy's expertise and confidence gave me that extra push that was needed.  I was able to focus on the BIGGER PICTURE.  One thing that I took from Ms. Grandy was when she said, "We are the first".  It gave us a sense of empowerment and improvement.
